Commissioners weigh fairgrounds insurance review and courthouse security procurement

On courthouse security, commissioners agreed it would be appropriate to put the work out to bid even if the project falls under a competitive threshold so that any interested vendors can respond. Separately, road department staff reported needs for fuel, tires and edge equipment; staff also noted generator oil changes and the arrival of a new fluorescent light ordered for the courthouse flag.
Commissioners did not take final action on the settlement or security procurement at the meeting; both items were left for staff follow-up and potential future board action.
