Board approves revised 213 calendar for ESS secretaries; consent agenda and executive session motion pass

The Somerton Elementary District board approved several routine items, including a revision to a 213 work calendar for ESS secretaries, the consent agenda and a motion to enter executive session.
On the consent agenda, Christina Clark moved to approve the items; Glattis Anaya seconded and the motion carried by voice vote.
On action item 6.2, district staff recommended revising the 213 work calendar so that ESS secretaries would begin and end on different dates from other employees on the 213 calendar to better align with end‑of‑year deadlines. "We're recommending the revision of this work calendar so that the ESS secretaries can be starting at a different start date and end at a different end date than the other 213 calendar to better align to for the end of the year deadlines they have," district staff said. Christina Clark moved to approve the revision; Glattis Anaya seconded and the board approved the change by voice vote.
Toward the end of the meeting the board voted to enter an executive session. The motion to move into executive session was made by Glattis Anaya, seconded by Christina Clark, and approved by voice vote.
Board members noted there were no audience comments at the start of the meeting. The board scheduled a regular meeting for Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. to finalize budget matters.
