Somerton board approves parent-support groups, teacher release, 1% fee waiver and contract offer

Agenda 8.4 asked the board to approve offering a contract to Mara Pirros (the transcript also contains the variant spelling “Martha Pros”) as an SMSA teacher returning from Education Service Inc. (ESI), effective Jan. 12, 2026. The motion to offer the contract was approved by voice vote.
