At its April 16 meeting the Town of Marlborough Cemetery Committee voted to accept corrected minutes from Jan. 15, 2026 after a change clarifying that the sexton will verify, probe and clearly mark cremation burial locations while burial work will be done by Czaja. Terry Parker moved to accept the minutes with that correction; Jim Tillona seconded and all voted in favor.
The committee also recorded a decision that the sexton will verify and clearly mark locations for cremations; the minutes state that actual burial work will be performed by Czaja. Committee members discussed adding a dedicated sexton email or phone contact on the town website; Sexton Zephyr Griffore will raise that with the town manager.
The minutes do not record any contested votes or objections to these procedural items. Next steps for the cremation procedure and contact-method change are administrative: coordination between the sexton and the town manager and any follow-up placement on a future agenda for formal ordinance or policy change if required.
