Anthony Bratz, Vice Chair of the Board of Selectmen and moderator, said the Board of Education proposed the reallocation on March 12, 2026 and that the Board of Finance recommended the request on March 16, 2026. Bratz asked, “Does the Town approve a reallocation of $120,000 from the MES Roof Reserve to the MES Southwest Egress Capital Project?”
Ken Hjulstrom moved to approve the reallocation; the transcript records Linda Earley as the initial seconder when the motion was introduced and later records Deb Bourbeau as a seconder. The moderator invited public comment; no members of the public spoke.
Joe Asklar moved, and Louise Concodello seconded, that the vote be conducted by paper ballot. The paper-ballot tally was announced as 38 in favor and no nays; the motion to approve the reallocation passed unanimously.
Following the vote, Joe Asklar moved to adjourn the meeting; Louise Concodello seconded and the meeting was adjourned at 7:08 p.m. The minutes were attested by Town Clerk Lauren A. Griffin on April 3, 2026.
