The Architecture and Design Review Board provided generally favorable feedback on a preliminary design for a new Modern-style residence at 8 Reynolds Court on April 6.
Applicant Alex Mortazavi described a proposed two-story home totaling about 5,421.65 square feet on a vacant 21,751-square-foot lot. Board members noted the design differs from the neighborhood’s existing single-story ranch homes and welcomed the proposed restrained color palette and crafted details.
Members emphasized that landscape design will be critical to the project’s success and asked that the trellis height be corrected to meet code. The board also recommended additional information about outdoor living areas, materials and how the house will sit in the context of adjacent properties.
Because this was a preliminary review, no board action was taken; the applicant will refine plans and return for formal review.
