The Granby Center Advisory Committee agreed Sept. 24 to extend the Granby Center Zone boundary north along the west side of Salmon Brook Street to the high school, then cross Salmon Brook Street to include the Center Common‑zoned portions of 280 Salmon Brook Street and 10 Hungary Road.
The boundary revision was reported as a committee consensus rather than the result of a recorded formal vote. Chair Mark Fiorentino introduced the topic as one of three remaining items the committee must complete before forwarding recommendations to the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Board of Selectmen.
Committee members did not record a roll‑call vote on the boundary change in the minutes; the entry reads, "The committee agreed that the Granby Center Zone boundary should extend north along the west side of Salmon Brook Street to the high school. It will then cross Salmon Brook Street to pull in the current Center Common zoned portions of 280 Salmon Brook Street and 10 Hungary Road." The committee will include this boundary recommendation when it forwards the final plan and supporting materials to BFJ and the town decision bodies.
The boundary decision will be part of the materials the committee asks BFJ to present, together with a summary of Chapter 4 and proposed zoning regulation changes. The committee set deadlines for drafting and review: member redlines due Oct. 21 and a committee review meeting on Oct. 29.
