The Franklin County Legislature adopted measures to formalize its self-insurance workers' compensation program.
At the June 2 meeting Resolution No. 153 adopted the Franklin County Self-Insurance Workers' Compensation Budget for 2017 and directed apportionment to localities as listed in the budget. The resolution was offered by the Finance Committee, moved by Legislator Smith and seconded by Legislator Maroun, and adopted unanimously.
The Legislature also completed the required public hearing and seven-day desk period on a local law relating to the Workers' Compensation Self-Insurance Plan and adopted the local law under Resolution No. 156. The Secretary was directed to advertise the local law as required by the Municipal Home Rule Law of the State of New York. The motion to adopt was unanimous.
