Franklin County commits local funds for Lane Street and CR 25 Salmon River bridge projects

The Legislature recorded that it would reconvene to appropriate additional funds if full costs exceed the current appropriation.
Both measures were adopted unanimously. The minutes also record the subsequent rejection of all bids for rehabilitation of the CR 25 and Lane Street bridges and a direction to rebid the project; the county’s Public Works & Services Committee handled that procurement action (Resolution No. 103).
The resolutions cite Title 23 of U.S. Code funding rules and commit the county to meet non‑federal shares and timing constraints required by federal and state aid programs. The highway superintendent and County Manager were directed to proceed with required documentation and agreements.
