Bryan Davidson, chairman of the Police Department Advisory Committee, attended the meeting to revisit a previously tabled police chief posting. Davidson proposed additional benefits, including a lateral transfer of sick and vacation time and a posting benefit of 80 hours of accrued leave following a six-month probationary period. Councilman Max Allen moved to add 80 hours of sick and vacation time after a six-month probation; Curt Oblinger seconded the motion and the council approved it 4-0.
The council also discussed other posting details (bonus and free utilities for a set time within city limits) but the transcript records only the approved leave-accrual amendment. The city will update the posting and resume recruitment.
