Wymore — The Wymore City Council accepted a Youth Engagement Grant check from the Wymore Blue Springs Area Fund and associated matching funds from the Nebraska Community Foundation and the Fund for Children & Youth to support Rodea Arena improvements.
Mayor Collin Meints thanked fund representatives for their work on local parks improvements. Separately, the council approved the General Administration contract with the Southeast Nebraska Development District (SENDD) for CDBG project 24PWI016, with execution contingent on the Department of Economic Development (DED) grant agreement and SENDD board approval (expected Dec. 5), and set an effective date of Dec. 6. The Construction Management contract for the same CDBG project was also approved, contingent on DED issuance of the Release of Funds/Environmental Clearance; the council recorded that execution will not occur prior to that clearance.
Motion by Sue Sapp, seconded by Max Allen, carried 4-0 for the general-administration contract; a separate motion carried 4-0 for the construction-management contract. These approvals allow staff to finalize paperwork once state clearance and SENDD board approval are in place.
