The policy sets a minimum reserve equal to 17% of general‑fund expenditures plus $15 million; based on the 2025 audit the presenters said that would equate to approximately $39,312,770 given last year’s general-fund expenditures of about $143 million.
Other approvals included a revised job description for the transportation dispatcher position and a motion to bring a previously tabled waiver request related to school-proximity/business operations (the item cited section 4‑45‑2E governing the ordinance) back to the full board; supporters said the business would operate as a drive‑thru, not a bar, and would open after school hours. The committee also forwarded the proposed revision to student technology policy (JCDAE) to the full board for consideration at the July 20 meeting.
