Upper Macungie’s Community Lifestyle Center nears opening; staff move in, tours and EV chargers planned

Upper Macungie Parks and Recreation staff told the committee the new Community Lifestyle Center is in its final construction and staffing stages: most staff have moved into the building, a facilities coordinator was hired, fitness equipment and AV systems are nearly installed, and electric vehicle charging stations are being connected.
Ryan, speaking for parks staff, said Chase Misera has been hired as the facility coordinator and that tours are being offered by sign-up (limited to small groups while construction continues). He said five EV charging stations are being connected and the parking lot and concrete work are nearly complete. "Everything's coming together," Ryan said, adding that interior wayfinding and front-desk equipment are being finalized.
Staff reported program metrics: 972 splashpad cards sold to date and 491 summer-camp participants out of 555 available spots. On park planning, Ryan said the Lone Lane Park master-plan effort has two grants totaling $144,000 to complete the master-plan process; staff emphasized the master plan will be grant-funded and that neighborhood input will be solicited before design work advances.
The committee discussed logistics for moving routine meetings to the new facility. Staff said all regular public meetings will transition to the Community Lifestyle Center (340 Grange Road) beginning in July; an official opening date has not been announced.
Committee members asked staff to continue updating the board about final inspections, EV chargers, membership rollouts and the schedule for a public opening.
