Rolesville's Fourth of July celebration will take place on Saturday, July 4, from 5:00 to 9:00 at Radford Place Park, with live music, family activities and a fireworks show targeted for about 9:15, event coordinator Kristen Stafford told the Mayor's Show.
"I'm expecting it to be as big as ever. Um this is the 250th year," Stafford said, noting the event is on a Saturday and will use Marvin Perry Field for the stage. "The band's going to play from 6:00 to 9:00. And then at 9:15 is when the fireworks will go off."
Stafford estimated 10–15 food trucks, two beer and wine vendors, and several local vendors and advised attendees to bring chairs, blankets and water because July heat is expected. Admission to the event is free; food and vendor purchases are paid individually.
She said parking near the park can be limited and some attendees should expect to park a short walk away. The mayor and Stafford encouraged residents to arrive early for good parking and emphasized family-friendly amenities including inflatables and a band.
Stafford also noted that Rolesville aims to book bands from North Carolina when possible; she named Police and Thieves as this year's featured act. No permit, vendor fee amounts or fireworks contractor details were disclosed on the program.
