Mrs. Cleo Adams presented Mr. Gilman’s resignation letter and the Board voted to accept it on a motion by Mr. Kurt Blumenthal, seconded by Mr. Robert Twombly. Because this is an appointment to fill the unexpired term rather than an election, the Board directed outreach to The Meadows community (via Mr. Long and The Meadows’ POA manager) to e-blast residents about the vacancy, candidate qualifications and instructions to submit a resume or letter of interest prior to the next meeting.
The Board also noted administrative items related to a new appointee, including required ethics training, Form 1 and Form 8B guidance, and administration of the oath of office; those onboarding materials will be provided in a separate package. The Board deferred formal appointment action to a future meeting after candidates submit materials.
