North Haledon council approves site-plan, fee changes and a bundle of routine resolutions

The Borough Council of North Haledon on Nov. 17 approved multiple ordinances and a consent agenda covering administrative and operational items.
Ordinances adopted on second and final reading included: - Ordinance #19-2021, which amends §490-3 (site plan review) to clarify when site-plan approval is required and when the reviewing board may waive submission; adopted unanimously. - Ordinance #20-2021, which amends §490-5(B)(4) detailing required elements of a minor site-plan submission, including plot plans, a description of proposed use and demonstration that the development will not adversely impact adjacent properties; adopted unanimously. - Ordinance #21-2021, which amends Chapter 275 to set fees for minor and major subdivisions, variances and site plans; adopted unanimously.
Votes at a glance: Ordinances #19-2021, #20-2021 and #21-2021 were each adopted on second and final reading by unanimous roll call with Mayor Randy George and Council Members Jacqueline Roscio, Rocco Luisi, George Pomianek, Bruce O. Iacobelli and Vince Parmese voting yes.
On the consent agenda (Consent Agenda CA#12), the council approved a set of routine resolutions, including buy-back payments to employees, several tax overpayment refunds, authorization of November transfers, payment of bills, a shared-services agreement to provide tax-collector services to Hawthorne effective Jan. 1, 2022, rescissions and re-awards of contracts, and modest contract increases for the borough planner and redevelopment attorney.
Among individual consent items called out in the meeting record were: three buy-back payments totaling several thousand dollars to municipal employees; an additional payment of $5,070.27 to La Forza Construction for emergency repairs at the Molly Ann Pumping Station; an award to Gentilini Motors for one 2022 Ford Explorer with equipment at $41,461.72; and adjustment of the Kauker & Kauker contract for a master-plan update to not exceed $15,000. Council approved all consent-agenda items by unanimous roll call.
Clerk Renate Elatab confirmed the procedural steps for publication and scheduling on first- and second-reading ordinances; public comment periods were opened for these items and no members of the public spoke.
