The Select Board voted unanimously to accept a Massachusetts Clean Water Trust loan (loan number CWPDash25Dash74) at 0% interest to help fund Phase 1 of the town’s wastewater work. The motion was made and seconded and passed with no recorded opposition.
On capital equipment the board authorized the town administrator to execute a purchase for a Roto Chopper brush grinder in the amount of $606,253.86. Staff said delivery is expected in roughly six weeks after purchase-order execution, and that vendor-supplied training plus two years of service are included.
The board also authorized the purchase of multiple vehicles from Liberty Chevrolet totaling $515,323.67. Staff explained the vehicles are 2026 models available now and that ordering 2027 models would delay delivery by about a year.
In addition to votes on contracts and financing, the board approved a slate of personnel actions: police officer appointments, licensing board agent designations, community-service officers with parking-enforcement authority, assistant harbormaster appointments, harbor-staff citation authorizations, seasonal conservation officer appointments and beach supervisory staff appointments. All personnel motions passed unanimously as recorded on the consent and appointments agenda.
The meeting also acknowledged payroll and vendor warrants and a $497,000 contract executed with Greenwood Industries for fire headquarters roof replacement, which was included in the consent agenda.
