Tri‑Township board elects finance officers and unanimously approves 2024 investment and financial reports

The Tri‑Township Consolidated School Corporation Board of School Trustees elected officers for its Board of Finance and approved several finance items during a meeting Monday evening in Wanatah.

Melanie Mills moved to elect Tim Guse as president of the Board of Finance; Chad Howell seconded and the motion carried by unanimous voice vote. Chad Howell moved to elect Aaron Rust as vice president; Nick Poort seconded and the board approved that motion unanimously. Melanie Mills moved to elect Chad Howell as secretary; Nick Poort seconded and the motion passed with all members voting aye.

The board then turned to its 2024 financial items. Aaron Rust moved to approve the Interest/Investment Report for 2024; Chad Howell seconded and the board approved the report by unanimous vote. Rust moved to adopt the board’s Investment Policy; Nick Poort seconded and the motion passed with all members voting aye.

The superintendent provided board members with a hard copy of the district financial report and reviewed financial information from DUAB. After that review, Aaron Rust moved to approve the Financial Report and Melanie Mills seconded; the motion carried with unanimous approval.

There were no board comments before the meeting adjourned. Aaron Rust moved to adjourn, Nick Poort seconded and the board voted unanimously to close the meeting. The board noted that its meeting site is fully accessible and provided the superintendent’s office phone number for anyone seeking accommodations.
