Tri-Township board adopts 2025 budget, capital and bus plans and awards track contract

The Tri-Township Consolidated School Corporation Board of School Trustees adopted the district’s 2025 budget and resolutions for appropriations and tax rates at its Sept. 23 regular meeting.

President Tim Guse presided as the board voted, with Aaron Rust moving and Chad Howell seconding the budget resolution; the board recorded the vote as 'ALL AYES.' The board also approved the 2025 Capital Projects Fund Plan and the 2025–2029 Bus Replacement Plan, each by unanimous vote.

Other finance actions included approval of an Education Fund to Operations Fund transfer and an Appropriation Reduction Resolution; both motions passed unanimously. The board approved routine consent items earlier in the meeting, including August 26 minutes, financial reports, claims and payroll.

On contracting and procurement, the board approved a letter of engagement with Policy Analytics LLC and accepted three bids for the Track Project. President Tim Guse read the three bids aloud before the board voted to award the general contractor; the motion carried with all votes recorded as 'ALL AYES.' The board also approved a Memorandum of Agreement with PNW.

Personnel actions were handled on the consent agenda and included extracurricular appointments such as Aaron Hanna (ECA varsity boys assistant coach), Matt Wellsand (ECA junior varsity boys coach and 7th–8th grade boys head coach), Morgan Kleckner (assistant varsity softball), Morgan Wozniak (7th–8th grade boys assistant coach), Sam Weller (5th–6th grade boys head coach) and Amber Jessen (study hall supervisor).

All motions and routine approvals in the meeting were recorded in the minutes as unanimous. The board adjourned following the approvals.
