Council approves $383,359 amendment to pavement-restoration contract with Kilgore

The Midvale City Council unanimously approved resolution 2026-R-32 on June 16 to adopt the fourth amendment to the 2022 pavement restoration services agreement with Kilgore Contracting. City staff explained the contract’s unit prices are subject to annual adjustment and that the latest amendment, totaling $383,359.50 (rounded in staff presentation), falls within the approved pavement-management budget.
Adam Olsen summarized the contract history and said the proposed price adjustments were reviewed by Brandon Anderson, the city engineer, who found them acceptable. "The unit prices are able to be annually adjusted and they were reviewed and found acceptable," Olsen said.
Council moved to suspend rules and approved the contract amendment by roll-call vote; the record shows unanimous approval. City staff said the amendment allows the pavement-management program to continue into FY2027 without delay.
The amendment does not change the program’s scope beyond scheduled restorations; staff characterized it as a routine annual adjustment to unit prices and indicated the funding is available in the pavement-management line of the capital budget.
