ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. ' The Arlington Heights School District 25 Board of Education on June 16 approved several major personnel and operational measures, including a four-year contract with the Arlington Teachers Association and a new five-year employment agreement for the superintendent, as part of a 7-0 series of votes.
The board unanimously approved the 2026—2030 collective bargaining agreement with the Arlington Teachers Association, which district negotiators said preserves fiscal responsibility while addressing teacher safety, professional training, workload and compensation increases for long-serving staff. Kendra, an administrative negotiator, said the contract "positions District 25 to continue attracting and retaining highly qualified educators while balancing our responsibility to taxpayers." The motion carried 7-0.
The board also approved the district's nonunion salary recommendations and an administrative compensation plan for 2026—27. Kendra told the board the proposals targeted roles with growing responsibilities to keep the district competitive in the local labor market; that measure passed by recorded vote 7-0.
In a separate motion the board approved the superintendent's employment contract effective July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2031. The chair framed the vote as part of the board's governance responsibilities; the motion carried 7-0.

Following the votes, Superintendent Dr. Fitzpatrick thanked the board and the district bargaining teams and noted that the approvals set a foundation for continued work on student learning and operations.
