Discover Granville website launches; board approves $3,000 to finish design and outreach

Representatives of the Branding/Marketing committee reported the December launch of the new Discover Granville website and asked the Village Board to appropriate remaining funds to complete design and outreach.
Mrs. Karin Rozell introduced the committee’s presentation and Mrs. Jacqueline Williams reported the site had seen in excess of 700 unique visitors and more than 2,400 page views since its December launch. She asked residents and local organizations to share information with the committee for posting to help sustain the site. The committee plans a launch party in late January at the Pember Library and Museum and hopes to coordinate outreach with regional partners to promote the Rail Trail and other recreational resources.
Trustee Dean Hyatt moved that the remaining $3,000 budgeted for site design be appropriated; Trustee Heather Leaman seconded and the motion carried unanimously. Mayor Paul Labas and board members expressed appreciation for the committee’s work.
The appropriation is intended to support final design, content posting and regional outreach; the committee will report back to the board with further details on promotion and sustainability plans.
