Granville Board ratifies 2025–26 tentative budget after no public comment

Trustee Denise Davies moved to ratify the tentative budget as circulated and posted to the Village website; Trustee Heather Leaman seconded the motion and it carried unanimously. The action followed a short board discussion about how to proceed and leaves the tentative budget in place as the governing document posted for public inspection.
The ratification was recorded during the board’s regular meeting immediately following the hearing. The Village Clerk-Treasurer presented no changes to line items at the time of ratification; subsequent routine budget transfers (see board actions) were approved later in the meeting to cover identified line-item shortfalls. The board did not receive or record any public objections or suggested amendments to the tentative budget during the hearing.
The ratification preserves the budget as the working financial plan for the coming fiscal year while giving residents access to the posted document; any future substantive amendments would be brought to the board for separate consideration.
