Administration recommended switching certain coverage to RNR Insurance with property placed through CIC Insurance Company and presented a bundled premium of $191,145 for property, general liability, workers’ compensation, auto, crime and cyber liability. Staff said the change would save the district more than $10,000 compared with prior placement and that CIC, a Wisconsin‑domiciled insurer that serves municipalities and school districts, was being used for property coverage.
Staff noted they increased property valuation per square foot to $400 to move toward a more realistic replacement value for the high school and associated assets; the board discussed the valuation and asked questions about comparability and whether the number might require future upward adjustments. The board approved the renewal by roll call.
Administration will finalize paperwork and retain certificates of insurance.
