Stetson selectmen approve payroll and expenditures; one abstention recorded and two checks held pending documentation

At the June 26 meeting, the Stetson selectmen approved payroll and routine expenditures and flagged two checks for follow-up.
On a motion by Jody Lyford, seconded by Tammy Buswell, the board unanimously approved Bangor Payroll #25. Expenditures #29 passed 4-0 with Selectman Jody Lyford recorded as abstaining; the board directed staff to hold a check for Mark Merrill until proof of insurance is provided and to hold the Coastal Door check pending clarification on warranty coverage. Expenditures #30 was later approved unanimously on a motion by Tammy Buswell, seconded by Jody Lyford.
Other routine actions recorded in the minutes included signing the sheriff’s contract and the Bangor Humane Society contract for the new fiscal year. The minutes record no public comment on the warrant items.
The board also approved adding a new signer to the town checking account (adding Darla Merithew and removing Danielle Withee) and voted to adjourn at 7:30 p.m.
