Stetson selectmen accept lowest bid, award $123,678.50 paving contract to Wellman Paving

The vote followed a brief exchange in which Millard Butler asked town staff member William whether he had concerns about the two lowest bidders, Wellman and B & B. William said he had recently worked with B & B on Wolfboro Road and had no issues with either firm. The board recorded no objections to proceeding with the lowest bid.
Why it matters: awarding the contract commits town funds and sets a contractor for road work in the coming season. The selectmen’s decision included no recorded conditions or amendments to the bid award in the meeting minutes.
