The Sullivan Selectboard approved routine administrative items and several operational directions at its Sept. 3 meeting. Selectman Norman Bamford moved to approve the August 12, 2024 minutes and to accept the Treasurer’s Warrant; Selectman Erin Shanahan seconded both motions and they passed 2–0.
During the Town Manager reports (the Town Manager was absent), Selectman Erin Shanahan pressed staff about the current 14-day retention period for security camera footage and moved to ask about acquiring a larger hard drive to extend storage; Norman Bamford seconded and the motion passed 2–0. The board also voted 2–0 to have the Town Manager order road salt from the supplier and asked that the Road Commissioner and the Maintenance Position be returned to a future agenda for further discussion.
The Selectboard conducted an executive session pursuant to 1 MRSA § 405(6)(F) to discuss confidential records. After returning to open session, the board approved a conceal-carry permit by a 2–0 vote. Norman Bamford asked about a prior site visit related to a "Perry situation" and requested that the Planning Board be added to future agendas. The meeting adjourned at 6:30 p.m.
