Fire chief seeks reimbursement language in mutual-aid contract, reports ambulance maintenance and billing plans

Pinkham said that amount would be charged to outside agencies when Sullivan personnel and vehicles respond to mutual-aid requests.
Pinkham also said the department is exploring an EMS coverage arrangement for neighboring Sorrento, though he described that as still under negotiation. He reported that the ambulance will go in for servicing and new tires and that a new power lift system will be installed. Finally, Pinkham said the department is looking at a California-based company that specializes in collecting fees from non-residents who use Fire/EMS services; he framed that as a way to recover costs from individuals who are not town residents.
The board did not vote on the contract language change during the meeting; Pinkham’s requests were presented as items for follow-up and negotiation.
