Town of Stetson selectmen approve payroll and expenditures; sign quitclaim deed

Town of Stetson Selectmen unanimously approved Bangor Payroll #4 and two expenditure warrants during their Aug. 28, 2024 meeting and signed a municipal quitclaim deed covering Perkins & Hatch.
The session opened at 6:00 p.m., when Jody Lyford led the Pledge of Allegiance and roll call confirmed Tammy Buswell, Jody Lyford, Leslie Merrill, Millard Butler and Gene Trojano were present. The board tabled approval of the Aug. 14 minutes.
On Bangor Payroll #4, Gene Trojano moved and Tammy Buswell seconded a motion to approve; the motion carried unanimously. Tammy Buswell moved and Gene Trojano seconded motions to approve Expenditures #5 and Expenditures #6; both passed unanimously. During the Expenditures #5 discussion, Millard Butler asked whether extra roadside mowing funds had been paid; the record notes those funds have been paid.
The minutes record a refund issue tied to Expenditures #6: Jarred Brown was due a $100 refund but received only $50 on that warrant. The board approved payment of the remaining $50 on warrant #7.
The board also signed a municipal quitclaim deed for Perkins & Hatch, a routine administrative action recorded in the minutes.
At 7:27 p.m., on a motion by Tammy Buswell, seconded by Gene Trojano, the selectmen voted unanimously to enter executive session under 405-6(A); the board exited executive session at 7:37 p.m. on a subsequent motion by Buswell, seconded by Trojano. The minutes do not record the subject or content of the executive session discussion.
Tammy Buswell moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:37 p.m.; Leslie Merrill seconded and the motion carried with all in favor. The minutes were signed and submitted by Danielle Davis.
