The Town of Stetson Selectmen opened bids for repairs to the Town Meeting House at their Nov. 13 meeting. The two bids recorded in the minutes were Modern Dec. Inc. for $18,400.00 and Country Mile Construction for $35,500.00.
Board members noted that neither bid specified whether flashing and trim were included. The minutes record that Danielle Davis, the meeting clerk, will contact both bidders to request clarification and any updated bids if necessary. Separately, Selectman Leslie Merrill said she has reached out to local contractors to obtain an estimate for repairing a catch basin connected to the project.
No award or contract decision was recorded; the board confined the action to opening bids and requesting clarifications. The town will await any revised bids or supplemental cost estimates before taking a procurement vote.
