The Silver Lake Town Council on Feb. 11 approved several routine items, including prior meeting minutes, a 2026 membership agreement with KEDCO, a $8,300 electrical quote for lift-station work, and a monthly claim docket totaling $218,780.68. All motions recorded in the minutes carried by an all-in-favor vote called by Council President Medard Murfin.
Minutes from Jan. 14, 2026 (including two public hearings) were approved after a motion by Councilmember Nichole Taylor and a second by Gloria (Jean) Weller; Council President Medard Murfin called the all-in-favor vote. The council discussed a 2026 agreement with KEDCO after a presentation by Peggy, identified as KEDCO CEO, and voted to join KEDCO for 2026.
Superintendent Joey McNeal presented a D&D Electric quote for lift-station work priced at $8,300. The council voted to accept the quote. The council also approved the claim docket in the amount of $218,780.68; the minutes record that the motion to accept the docket carried following a motion, a second and an all-in-favor call.
The council set its next regular meeting for March 11, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. and adjourned at 7:21 p.m.
