South Whitley council approves 2025 meeting schedule, APVs of $239,779.97 and two payrolls

The South Whitley Town Council on Nov. 26 voted to adopt its 2025 meeting calendar and approved a series of routine minutes and payments.
Councilman Brock Waterson moved and Council President Randy Cokl seconded a motion to accept the 2025 council meeting dates (second and fourth Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m.); the motion passed on a recorded vote of 2-0. Waterson and Cokl also moved and seconded approval of executive session minutes (Nov. 20), public meeting minutes (Nov. 20) and the Nov. 12 regular meeting minutes; each motion passed 2-0.
The council approved accounts payable vouchers totaling $239,779.97 after a motion by Waterson and second by Cokl, with a recorded vote of 2-0. The council also approved payroll for the week ending Nov. 18 totaling $12,443.74 and payroll for the week ending Nov. 25 totaling $10,628.38; both motions passed 2-0.
Clerk-Treasurer Alyssa Knepple told attendees that the town has a new trash hauler and asked residents to report missed pickups to the clerk’s office so Borden can be contacted; the minutes also record that trash will be picked up on Saturday, Nov. 20 because of the Thanksgiving holiday (as written in the meeting record). The council adjourned at 6:56 p.m.
