Council President Randy Cokl and Vice President Brock Waterson approved a 50/50 sidewalk grant for resident Sherry Mishler on Aug. 13, 2024. Mishler said insurance covered sidewalk up to her porch after a tree fell in 2023 and asked the town to pay half of the remaining $3,575 bill.
Vice President Brock Waterson moved to accept the grant application and to pay 50% of the $3,575 balance; Council President Randy Cokl seconded. The motion passed on a 2-0 vote. Clerk-Treasurer Alyssa Knepple said the reimbursement check will be mailed to Mishler by the end of the month.
The approval covers the town’s share of the sidewalk replacement only; the council did not discuss additional curb, driveway, or landscaping work. The item was recorded as a routine municipal grant decision during the regular meeting.
