Roger and other members noted the $14,285.71 National Recreation Systems bid for portable bleachers was far lower than two permanent bleacher bids (about $39,400–$40,800). Roger said portability would let staff move the units and reduce corrosion compared with permanent bleachers. "...we would prefer to do the National Recreation Systems because those are portable," Roger said.
A motion was made to accept the low bid (delivery and installation included), was seconded and approved by voice vote. Board members discussed that the district recently invested heavily in pool construction and favored a functional, cost-effective portable option rather than permanent installations that could require more maintenance.
