Several routine motions were passed unanimously at the South Whitley Town Councils Nov. 12 meeting.
Councilman Brock Waterson moved to approve the Oct. 22 regular meeting minutes; Councilman Trey Weber seconded and the motion passed 3-0. Waterson moved and Weber seconded approval of Nov. 12 accounts payable vouchers (APVs) totaling $1,021,494.96; that motion passed 3-0. The council also approved payroll for the weeks ending Oct. 28 ($11,457.98), Nov. 4 ($10,481.88) and Nov. 11 ($11,687.71) after motions by Waterson and second by Weber; each payroll motion passed 3-0.
On personnel policy, Marshal Mikel Vandevender said Officer Thomas is allotted K9 hours but the school needed notice because Thomas serves as the SRO; Councilman Waterson moved to give Officer Thomas eight hours of PTO earned per month of employment with the K9, Weber seconded, and the council approved the motion 3-0.
The minutes record no recorded dissent or abstentions for these items. The council adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
