The South Whitley Town Council was told on Sept. 24 that bids for downtown properties at 206 and 208 will be opened at the council meeting on Oct. 8 at 6:30 p.m. Town Attorney Greg(g) Hockemeyer said interested businesses may inspect the buildings and stored light poles on Friday, Sept. 27 at 3:00 p.m.; Kent Slater will meet interested parties to provide access.
Proposals and business plans are due by 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 8. The council said it will hold a separate public meeting to fully review and discuss bids before making a final decision, allowing time for thorough consideration of proposals.
