The Spring Hill Town Council on March 16 set the town's centennial celebration for Aug. 22, 2026 and reviewed several administrative updates.
President Craig Deken said the council is working with the Spring Hill Preservation Alliance and Holcomb Estates on events for the centennial; properties belonging to Council Member Brad Quinn and Council Member Larry Kleiman are planned stops on a tours route, and organizers plan a pitch‑in between the Kleiman property and the Edinburgh Point condominiums. The council said it will request volunteers from residents in the coming months.
Deken also reported that the town's website content and resident forms are available at in.gov/towns/springhill and townofspringhill.in.gov, and that the council will add a calendar function. He said the council established a new Proton Mail address for council communications; initial problems sending and receiving messages were resolved after security updates. The council decided not to pursue Docusign for council business.
Clerk‑Treasurer Lana Barnhisel told the council that AIMS dues and her bond will be paid from town funds this month; no other new expenses were reported. The council scheduled its next meeting for June 22, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
The minutes record a motion to approve the previous minutes (moved by Council Member Larry Kleiman and seconded by Council Member Emily Howard) but do not record a vote tally or outcome.
