St. Paul council awards three-year mowing contract, schedules comprehensive-plan interviews

The St. Paul Town Council awarded the town mowing contract to WM Koons for the April–October season at $1,971 per month and approved a three-year contract term.
Tim Ray moved to award the contract and Kim Livingston seconded; the motion carried. Council members did not record a roll-call tally in the minutes beyond stating the motion was approved.
The council also reported that the comprehensive-plan scoring committee had reviewed four engineering-firm proposals and scheduled interviews for Wednesday, April 9. The town's income-survey results gave St. Paul a 53% score toward grant eligibility, which the committee said improves the town's chances of obtaining outside funding for the plan.
Council member Joshua Sangl volunteered to represent St. Paul on a local advisory board that helps choose a representative to the Decatur County Planning Commission; Sangl also volunteered to serve on the SIRPC board when asked to provide a town liaison. Council members took no formal vote on either volunteer offer beyond recording Sangl's willingness to serve.
The council recorded it had no objection to Comcast completing its work in town; no ordinances related to that item were presented at the meeting.
