Senior Citizens Commission approves minutes with Bolton High School correction; schedules August BBQ and Sept. meeting

Leslie Shea moved to accept the March 31 minutes with corrections; Anna Spencer seconded. The commission approved the minutes unanimously. The recorded corrections instruct staff to add the phrase "and Bolton High School" after the reference to the Health district and to remove the phrase "accommodations for senior housing" under item 6a.
Chair Paula Friez said recent programs have been successful and well attended but that the commission was disappointed by low senior turnout at the town's 250th anniversary event. Commissioners discussed ongoing planning for that anniversary and were told more details will be provided as planning continues.
Under new business the commission announced a summer BBQ at the senior center in August as part of summer programming.
Leslie Shea moved to adjourn at 12:49 p.m.; Carole Franco seconded. The motion passed unanimously. The commission set its next regular meeting for Sept. 15, 2026.
The meeting was called to order at 12:04 p.m. and adjourned at 12:49 p.m.
