Planning Board approves Reliable Auto & Truck Repair site plan with landscaping restriction

The Mount Kisco Planning Board voted unanimously Sept. 10 to approve the site plan and wetland permit for Reliable Auto and Truck Repair at 21 Cary Place, revising the resolution to reflect a neighbor’s request that landscaping not be installed on the neighboring parcel.
Village Planner Jan K. Johannessen told the board that the town received a letter from the adjacent property owner saying they did not oppose the parcel’s redevelopment but did not want landscaping placed on their land. The board instructed staff to revise the resolution to incorporate that constraint.
Co-Chair Michael McGuirk opened the public hearing, and no members of the public spoke. After the hearing was closed, Co-Chair Crystal Pickard moved to approve the resolution with the agreed revisions and conditions; the motion was seconded by Michael Bonforte and carried by a vote of 6–0. The six affirmative votes were cast by Crystal Pickard, Michael McGuirk, W. Robert Phillips, Michael Bonforte, Barbara Roppolo and Maggie Downey.
The approval authorizes the project subject to the conditions recorded in the revised resolution. The Planning Board’s action was taken during its regular meeting; staff will finalize the resolution language and issue any subsequent permits in accordance with the board’s conditions.
