A companion zoning amendment would create "food truck courts" as a new conditional-use classification for designated sites designed to host multiple food trucks with appropriate parking, ingress/egress and utility access; temporary food-truck placement for planned events would be permitted by right when it meets ordinance criteria. The code and zoning tweaks aim to standardize operations and reduce ad hoc truck placement in parking lots and along roadways.
Next steps: The ordinance and zoning amendment will appear on the council's agenda for formal consideration and public hearing; staff said the changes reflect council feedback from a prior reading and work session.
