Authority approves monthly expenditures, forwards delinquent accounts and OKs sale of excess items

At its Sept. 18 meeting the Silver Spring Township Authority approved the monthly finance report and authorized payments across the Sewer Revenue, Capital Reserve and Developers’ accounts. The Sewer Revenue Account disbursements totaled $221,250.18 and include $586.10 in MS4 stormwater fees transferred to the township. Capital Reserve and Developers’ Account payments of $3,042.78 and $9,594.30 respectively were also approved.
Manager James Stevens reported staff turned 19 accounts to collection counsel JSDC (James, Smith, Dietterick & Connelly, LLP). The minutes list delinquent accounts by collection step and note two pending sheriff sale actions and one bankruptcy.
The board approved advertising and sale of excess Authority items on Municibid, with closing bids recorded as: 39 sections of 6‑inch SDR 35 sewer pipe (14.5 ft.) — $1,950; two Hach Sigma SD900 refrigerated automatic samplers — $1,010; and disposable 300 ml BOD testing bottles — $411, for total receipts of $3,371.
No public comment was recorded on the finance items. The board carried the motions unanimously among members present.
