The Silver Spring Township Authority approved its monthly financial actions during the Aug. 21, 2024 regular meeting and noted progress on delinquent account collections.Manager James Stevens reported that staff turned 19 accounts over to JSDC (James, Smith, Dietterick & Connelly, LLP) to begin the delinquent collection process; the minutes list active collection volumes including 30 accounts at Step 1 and 20 at Step 2. No public participation was recorded in the meeting record.The board approved the treasurer’s report and payments on a Mull–Secary motion. Approved disbursements included Sewer Revenue Account expense payments totaling $130,723.20 (this total includes Township MS4 stormwater fees transferred to the township in the amount of $614.89), Capital Reserve Account payments of $87,858.16 and Township Developers’ Account bills forwarded for payment totaling $648.00.The board also approved release of the sanitary sewer system maintenance bond for Cove at Trindle Spring in the amount of $31,845.00 after staff inspection found no deficiencies.
