At its April 16 meeting the Marlborough Economic Development Commission received construction updates on several town-center projects.
Mark Paul, chair, reported that the EV Café remains under construction and that a solar farm is being built just west of Route 2 near Route 66 behind the former Commons. Commissioners also noted a self-storage facility under construction west of Route 2 and that the Pieper Olson veterinarian site on Route 66 east of the center is under construction.
Paul also said the commission has seen limited activity on the Sustainable CT program and cautioned that achieving Gold certification will be challenging and will require additional support from commissioners and volunteers.
No new permits, timelines or financial incentives were recorded in the minutes; the items were presented as project-status updates during unfinished-business discussion.
