The Medora Community School Corporation Board of School Trustees voted Dec. 9 to approve a series of year-end financial actions intended to close the 2024 budget. Darrell Persinger, a school board member, presented the motions and Ada Reynolds seconded the key transfer motion that the board passed unanimously.
Board members voted to approve transfers of appropriations within the Education Fund and the Operations Fund to balance accounts for the 2024 year-end close. The board also authorized payment of any outstanding claims within appropriation balances for all funds for 2024. Both motions passed on 4–0 votes.
Mr. Bane presented the monthly budget and extra-curricular reports to the board for review; the transcript records the presentation but no separate action beyond the approvals listed above. The board earlier approved claims and payroll as submitted by motion of Tony Hall, seconded by Darrell Persinger, also on a 4–0 vote.
The actions are administrative year-end steps the board took to close out fiscal 2024. No budget amounts, line-item transfers, or dollar totals were specified in the meeting transcript.
