The Medora Community School Corporation Board of School Trustees voted unanimously on Oct. 14 to adopt the corporation’s 2025 School Budget (Form 4), approve its 2025 Bus Replacement Plan and 2025 Capital Projects Plan, and authorize a resolution to transfer up to $100,000 from the Education Fund to the Operations Fund for 2025.
Board member Darrell Persinger made the motion to adopt the 2025 School Budget Form 4; Board Secretary Faythe Gill seconded. The motion carried 4–0, with members Joe Campbell, Persinger, Gill and Ada Reynolds voting in favor and Tony Hall recorded absent. Mr. Bane had presented the monthly budget and extracurricular reports earlier in the meeting for the board’s review.
Ada Reynolds moved to approve a resolution adopting the 2025 Bus Replacement Plan and the 2025 Capital Projects Plan; Persinger seconded and that motion also carried 4–0. Persinger then moved, with Gill seconding, to approve a resolution authorizing the transfer of up to $100,000 from the Education Fund to the Operations Fund in 2025; that motion carried 4–0. A separate resolution to approve deposit of Local Income Tax (LIT) for 2025 was approved by motion of Reynolds, seconded by Gill, by the same 4–0 vote.
The board’s minutes record no donations and list upcoming October field trips and an FFA judging event in November as part of the extracurricular reports. The budget adoption and related resolutions become part of the corporation’s official minutes and fiscal plan for 2025. The meeting adjourned at 5:15 P.M.
