The Masconomet School Committee recorded several formal actions during its June meeting:
1) FY27 student-handbook revisions — Approved (roll-call unanimous). The committee adopted the package of revisions addressing attendance/tardy rules, social probation, cell-phone use during academic time, and DESE-suggested edits to bullying definitions and complaint procedures.
2) Faculty-child enrollment — Approved (roll-call unanimous). Under the collective-bargaining agreement, the committee approved a request allowing a teacher's child (Inedela Cruz's daughter) to enroll at Masconomet while living outside the district.
3) Master and associate-master teacher recommendations — Approved (roll-call unanimous). The committee approved a slate of teachers recommended for master and associate-master designations after a multi-step application and review process.
4) Consent agenda — Approved (roll-call unanimous). The consent agenda included warrants in the amount of $2,110,297.94, approval of the 6/3/2026 meeting minutes, acceptance of the MEF grant, and an alumni donation for district programs.
Vote tallies were recorded on the roll call for each motion with yes votes from committee members Megan, Jason, Lisa, Alice, Stacy, Bill, Matt, Trevor and the chair. The committee asked administrators to publish handbook details and to brief staff and coaches before the fall semester.
