Wymore council approves minutes and claims, OKs city office monitors; personnel handbook tabled

At its Aug. 2 meeting, the Wymore City Council approved the minutes from July 19 and approved claims and payroll by 3-0 vote while tabling two checks (27220 and 27233) for later consideration.
Council also approved a bid from NCS to install one additional monitor at each city office desk for $683.00. The motion to accept the NCS bid passed 3-0. Melissa Wach and City Clerk Janet Riensche requested the hardware to create dual-monitor setups in the office.
Mayor Collin Meints said the revised personnel handbook needs additional changes and the council voted to table the handbook discussion and authorize City Attorney Andy Carothers to have the law firm Cline Williams review the discrimination and harassment sections. That motion passed 3-0.
Council members reviewed departmental budgets and asked questions about upcoming projects and anticipated expenses; some forms will be corrected and the item will return to the Aug. 16 agenda. The meeting adjourned at 10:41 PM on a motion by Max Allen.
