Janice Cohorst reported to the Wymore City Council on Sept. 6 that the city hosted visitors from across the United States, Canada and Wales during the North American Festival of Wales.
Cohorst said visitors toured the Great Plains Welsh Heritage Museum, Bethel Cemetery and the one-room schoolhouse in McCandless Park. The largest group to visit in a single day numbered 105 people, she said, and volunteers provided a community-hosted lunch for the guests. Cohorst and other volunteers said they received positive feedback from visitors about Wymore.
The council received the report as an informational item; no formal council action was recorded on the festival report.
