Township Manager Mark Hodkinson announced that a RACP (Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program) grant reimbursement of about $3.44 million was deposited into Springettsbury Township’s account this week.
"3.44 million plus dollars entered was deposited into the township account," Hodkinson said, adding that the remaining balance of roughly $87,000 will be received after the required audit is completed.
Supervisors asked follow-up questions about the reimbursement, including the age of the building tied to the grant; Hodkinson confirmed the building is three years old and that no interest is paid on the reimbursement. A supervisor publicly recognized Hodkinson, the finance team, and state legislators — Rep. Stan Sailor and Sen. Christian Phillips Hill — for assistance in securing the funding.
The board did not vote on any additional actions tied to the deposit during the meeting; staff indicated the remaining audit steps will finalize the acceptance of the remaining funds.
